JORDYN MORTON
Who is Jordyn Morton?
Meet Jordyn Morton, a young woman from the Bronx. Inspired by her father (her muse) to embrace music as a part of her identity, what Jordan creates ushers forth a sense of spirit that is not only manifested in her relationship with her dad, but with the world as she sees it. Sound is her reality. Music is her expression.
That expression helped her to eventually find her way to Limitless Health Productions.
What are Jordyn and LHP looking to accomplish?
Jordyn has found a path, with the aid and counsel of Limitless Health Productions team, to address her anxieties and doubts about the world through her music, opening her mind to a deeper meaning found in the awakening of her identity as an artist, and her girl boss attitude of peace, love, joy, and proaction. She began this journey with the help of her friends and peers at LHP who played a part in her early musical development; and since then, has done nothing but progress forward as a Youth Ambassador.
After coming to the understanding of how music impacts people’s lives, particularly young lives, Jordyn moved forward with her ambitions, working with the collective at Limitless Health Productions. Most importantly, with people like Grammy-Winning Producer, Brian Forbes, who has been influential in helping Jordyn to continue her high-key efforts to bring her music, advancing deep inside, to an external world filled with the promise of acceptance and caring.
This is where the single, Legacy, came together. It’s not just her song, but young truth.
From Jordyn:
One of my favorite memories was recording in the studio with Brian and Ameerah, and I liked the energy we all had together.
I would recommend SCU to all young aspiring musicians because this program is the gateway to being a successful artist and will be for all young aspiring musicians as long as they follow through and make the program what they want their career to be (which is successful, of course).
My favorite things to do is definitely travel. My family is always telling me, to which I agree, that I don't know how to relax. I love traveling and seeing new parts of NYC and I would love to travel to different countries and islands (e.g. St Thomas, Bermuda, DR, Spain, etc.).
"We Is the Now" is a motivational song. Ameerah and I talk about personal and relatable struggles and towards the end of our verses we talk about how we overcome them or how our presence and personalities overweigh our struggles
I wouldn't necessarily use the word "decide". Being the leader I am, I feel like I just did what felt right for the group when it came to creating the melody and the chorus. The whole process of making music felt great overall, and I appreciate Ameerah, Brian, and everyone who is a part of LHI and SCU.
Since this is my second time working with SCU I wanted to make it sound more interesting and fun while staying true to myself and with the help of Brian and Ameerah, I learned different strategies and styles of creating lyrics and to this day I still use them to practice creating my own lyrics.
